We were amazed that Doctors W.K. and Dr. Scott Tushla (my specialist and my GP) arrived within an hour of being notified, to assess my prostate issue. The members of the emergency room staff were very professional and quick in stabilizing my issue.

After moving back to Colorado about 4 years ago and after getting to know many people in the community, I've determined that there is a need for more personalized medical care in the Springs. I want my patients to know me and I want to know my patients and I want to provide people with a more personal level of medical care.
We see patients of all ages; we treat minor emergencies; perform sports physicals, and administer vaccinations; Flu shots are available.

"Earlier this month, I was subjected to a herniated intestine. Most of the day was spent in extreme discomfort, the emergency room gambit was a bit slow and required paperwork. However, I was able to get a late afternoon appointment with my doctor, Scott Tushla. He did a brief exam and then led me out the door, across the street to Community Memorial Hospital.
He set up a CAT scan for me and then asked me to talk to another doctor. About 15 minutes later he returned and said I needed surgery, and it would be better if it was done that night. I agreed, and once again he led the way to admitting, set up a room and surgery and I was put to bed.
At 9 p.m., he again came in to check on my progress.
At 11:15 p.m., following my surgery, he checked on me, then notified my wife of the progress and success.
Again at 7 a.m., he visited me to check how I was doing and assured me that I could be released later in the day.
This doctor walked the extra mile for me, and for that I will be eternally grateful. And the staff at Community Memorial Hospital was also outstanding!
